This month at The Arts School

Welcome to your April newsletter.

I hope you are well in this strange old world. Isolation will be very different for all of us, and I hope you are all finding positives, and staying well. I have now been in lock down for two weeks, very grateful that the weather was been good and that we live in such a great community where people come together.

It is very important to focus on positives now and find ways to keep yourself happy. This is an opportunity to finish all those little art projects, try those new techniques, attempt that painting that you have wanted to do, to create lots of work, and for me to make lots of digital tutorials!

I have started a daily drawing session on Facebook Live, and if you miss them you can watch them back if you look in videos on @theartsschoolinfo Facebook Page. If you are not on Facebook please let me know if you would like access to them. More details below.

The Monthly Art Challenge for April is collage and composition. For some inspiration have a look at Henri MatisseRichard Hamilton, and local artist Cara Nicholls.

I can run private virtual classes, this could be developing a project, or a drawing or painting session. You would need some form of communication that I can see you on (phones, computers, and a video calling function like FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or Whatsapp) – email me to discuss.

I look forward to seeing you soon, albeit virtually for a little while!
