I have been a professional artist, photographer and art teacher for 10 years, working with a wonderful range of people and art and design areas.
My work is also available at Saatchi Online
I love all aspects of art and design and look to constantly challenge and enhance my knowledge and skills. My own work takes many formats; I look at the everyday, at life and how I and other people live it and use all of this to create my art – I love collaborations and discussion. My recent paintings have been developed whilst looking at the theory of the role of painting as a process as well as material.
I predominantly design, develop and produce paintings, digital and handmade prints, and photographs. My work is constantly evolving and I use many mediums to respond to the stimulus I see around me – including photography, new media, film & moving image, print, appropriation of images and objects, drawing, painting and installation.
I teach the wide-ranging subject of Fine Art in schools and colleges including drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, portfolio development, illustration and graphic design. 2014 marks my 10th year teaching further education and leisure courses. I have taught on, and run, BTEC level 2 and 3 subsidiary and extended diploma in Graphics and Art and Design, A level photography and Art and Design, Access to HE in Art and Design and special needs and leisure courses including Gallery Studies and Life Drawing.
I am also a professional event photographer, having many years experience capturing the excitement and beauty of weddings and similar amazing occasions.
